RABBI MITCHELL ROCKLIN
Rabbi Mitchell Rocklin serves as the President of the Jewish Coalition for Religious Liberty and is also a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the James Madison Program at Princeton University. He received his Ph.D. in History from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York, and is also a Chaplain in the Army National Guard with the rank of Captain. Rabbi Rocklin has served as a member of the Rabbinical Council of America’s Executive Committee and Military Chaplaincy Committee, as a congregational rabbi in Connecticut, and as a lecturer at Hunter College. His writings have appeared in a number of publications, including National Review Online, The Forward and Mosaic.
HOWARD SLUGH, ESQ.
Howard Slugh is a founder and General Counsel of JCRL. He is also an attorney in Washington, DC focusing on constitutional law. His writings have been published in National Review Online, The Weekly Standard, The Baltimore Sun, The American, American Thinker, and other media.
Acting Executive Director
Aylana Meisel is Deputy Director-General of the Tikvah Fund in Jerusalem, where she assists in mission development, strategy, and implementation across the Fund’s educational activities. Previously she worked for seven years at the Tikvah Fund US, helping to cultivate Jewish and conservative leadership in the United States and Israel. She has recruited and worked with hundreds of young leaders, as well as more senior professionals in policy, academia, journalism, government, and other disciplines. Her professional background includes experience in journalism, policy, and law. She obtained her J.D. at Georgetown University Law Center and her B.A. in Jewish Studies from the Macaulay Honors College at Queens College (CUNY). She has been published in The Jerusalem Post, Commentary Magazine, Washington Free Beacon, and Mosaic Magazine.
She is the Acting Executive Director of JCRL.
